Welcome to a new daily column by the Ball in a Day’s Work Media writers. Each day one of the writers on this website will create a ranking about whatever they want. This could be a sports related ranking, or it could have nothing to do with them. Maybe a writer wants to make a post about his top 5 favorite ice cream flavors, nothing is stopping him from doing so! This will give our readers an incentive to check the website on the daily and it’ll be an easy way to expand our content. In the future, if we add more writers, there will be a lot of articles on the website. This small write-up will be a simple way to get people on the site, engaged, and ready to read our content!

For the first edition, I (Caleb Otte) will be talking about my top 5 dunks of all-time. There are no restrictions for this list. The dunks can be from any league or competition. They can be in game or in a dunk contest, as long as I think they are good enough to beat out the millions of other dunks that have occurred in basketball history. So with all that out of the way, enjoy the list and check out our other articles when you are done!

HM: Vince Carter’s 360 Windmill

HM: Aaron Gordon’s One-handed 360 windmill

5- “Lebron James with no regard for human life!”

The dunk, the player, the call. Everything about this dunk is special and legendary. His ability to turn the corner and get above Kevin Garnett is what makes this dunk so great. And he did it in a big playoff game!

4- MJ over Patrick Ewing

I love the little spin move than MJ makes before the dunk. It sets him up for a massive poster over the 7 footer that is Patrick Ewing. Considering the history of the Bulls vs the Knicks, this dunk is remembered as a symbol of the Bulls domination in this “rivalry” and the aesthetics of the dunk were amazing.

~~~
3- D-Wade over Anderson Varejao
What. A. Poster. It just looks like the type of dunk that you wanted to do when you were a kid. That little euro step like move that brought him to the rim was elite, and then he turned Varejao into his son with the third best dunk ever!
2- Baron Davis on AK-47
This might be the most underrated dunk ever, because I never hear it talked about in classic NBA moments. But Baron Davis catches an absolute body over Andrei Kirilenko and the absolute hype around this moment makes you jump out of your seat. This is a DUNK!
~~~

1- Vince Carter’s “Dunk of Death”

Greatest dunker + The Olympics + a 7-footer. I don’t see how this ISNT the greatest dunk ever!

Thank you for reading the first ever daily ranking on the Ball in a Day’s Work website! Check in each day for a new column written by one of our authors! Also check out our podcast and our YouTube channel! Have a great day!
